Following its Oregon basketball-inspired Air Max 95 pack earlier this year, Ducks of a Feather (DOAF) is turning its attention to football with a new Nike SB Dunk Low pack. The two-colorway release celebrates University of Oregon history and game-day culture, with each pair drawing inspiration from a different piece of Ducks lore.
First up is “The Zoo,” a predominantly green Dunk dedicated to Autzen Stadium, home of Oregon football. The nickname reflects the stadium’s famously rowdy atmosphere, while the shoe’s animal-inspired design features scaly overlays and snakeskin Swooshes. Ticket stub-inspired tongue tags add another nod to game day, alongside DOAF branding and an embroidered Oregon “O” on the lateral heel. The back tabs spell out “THE ZOO” across the two shoes, while the insoles feature an Autzen Stadium graphic and the phrases “Once A Duck Always A Duck” and “Ducks of a Feather.”
The second colorway takes inspiration from the University of Oregon’s connection to the 1978 comedy National Lampoon’s Animal House. The film, shot in part around campus, famously features the song “Shout,” which also became part of Oregon’s game-day tradition, played between the third and fourth quarters of home football games.
The sneaker’s yellow and tan color blocking and gum outsole recall the classic beer-inspired “Newcastle” SB Dunk from 2008. That reference feels fitting given Animal House’s recurring drinking humor and fraternity-party antics. Additional details include laurel wreath motifs on the tongue tags, inspired by the wreath worn by John Belushi’s character, and graphic insoles featuring red lettering outlined in yellow, echoing the font used on the film poster, with a boarded-up window graphic in the background referencing the Delta Tau Chi fraternity house. “Shout!” is embroidered on each of the heel tabs, tying the design back to Oregon’s beloved game-day tradition.
Both pairs arrive as Nike SB Dunk Low OG models rather than the standard Dunk Low Pro, giving the pack a vintage-inspired finish. The release follows DOAF’s “Lumber Yard” and “The Woods” Air Max 95s, which celebrated Oregon basketball and the “Deep in the Woods” court at Matthew Knight Arena.
