NIGO’s Human Made is planting its flag in Southeast Asia. The Japanese lifestyle brand opens Human Made Bangkok at Central Embassy, one of the city’s most prominent luxury destinations, situated on the grounds of the former British Embassy along Ploenchit Road. It’s the brand’s first retail location in Thailand, and it’s arriving with a full moment behind it.
The store itself is designed as Human Made Land, built out like an immersive theme park with shop-in-shops, kiosks, and street stall-style displays meant to be wandered through rather than just shopped. Rotating elephant figures and tri-vision signage keep the space in constant motion.
To mark the opening, Human Made tapped KAWS for an exclusive capsule under the KAWS MADE label. The collection includes graphic tees featuring COMPANION holding the KAWS MADE heart logo, a canvas tote, and cushions, all of which are exclusive to Bangkok and unavailable elsewhere.
Beyond the KAWS pieces, the store will carry a range of Bangkok-exclusive drops: a capsule built around a custom elephant graphic rendered in HUMAN MADE’s signature illustrative style, spanning a denim jacket, tees, a keychain, and a crossbody bag. There’s also a green colorway of the brand’s iconic heart motif across a coach jacket, open-collar shirt, tees, and a mesh cap, plus a pair of Muay Thai-inspired shorts.
Right next door, Curry Up Bangkok opens the same day, marking the Japanese curry concept’s first Southeast Asian location. Also inside Central Embassy, the restaurant brings its signature dishes alongside original merchandise and Bangkok-exclusive tees to commemorate the opening. The dining space flows into the retail environment, with Indian-inspired motifs, neon, and mirrors lending it a distinct personality while keeping the two spaces in conversation.
Both Human Made Bangkok and Curry Up Bangkok open Saturday, March 28th, at 10 AM ICT. The store and restaurant are both located on level two of Central Embassy, with hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Check out photos of the store and the exclusive pieces below.
