Imran Potato is bringing his wild Vans collaboration to ComplexCon. Following the release of his Knu Skool MTE-1 LX project in 2024, the bootlegger-turned-designer is back with a new take on the Authentic that leans heavily into exotic cat prints.
Rather than sticking to a single pattern, the shoe mixes leopard, cheetah, and tiger prints across the canvas upper, with each panel getting its own treatment. The mismatched approach makes the two shoes feel like their own separate compositions.
The left shoe is primarily covered in blue leopard print, with yellow tiger stripes taking over the toe box. The right shoe switches things up with a pale pink cheetah print across the upper and a bold red cheetah pattern on the toe box. The result is a deliberately chaotic take on the classic Vans silhouette that feels right at home in Imran Potato’s world.
The Authentic won’t be the only Vans silhouette getting the wild makeover. Imran has also teased an Old Skool with a similar mismatched exotic cat print treatment, suggesting this will be a two-shoe release.
The collaboration also points to a longer relationship between Imran Potato and Vans. The partnership will continue into next year, with the designer previously previewing his Spring/Summer 2027 Old Skool 36 and Half Cab collaborations during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.
The Imran Potato x Vans “Cheetah Print” pack will launch at ComplexCon in Los Angeles on October 3–4 at Booth L12. Check out the
