Award-winning visual artist and designer Louis De Guzman is taking his practice into a new territory. Together with his studio team, De Guzman has launched In Full Color, a clothing brand that functions as a direct extension of his visual world.
The Chicago native is known for geometric abstraction rooted in his Filipino-American heritage and has had collaborations with Pop Mart, New Balance, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
In Full Color draws its identity from the aesthetics of analog broadcasting, think dead channels and vintage signage. The reference point shaped everything from the brand’s name to its web address, infullcolor.tv, to the name of the debut collection itself: “Channel Not Available.” The concept is less about nostalgia and more about welcoming the viewer to create their own channel.
The debut collection spans tops, bottoms, and outerwear designed to work across a wide range of personal styles and identities, with inclusivity baked into the brand’s foundation rather than treated as an afterthought.
Some highlight pieces include the red letterman jacket with brown leather sleeves and colorful emblems displayed throughout, with the back fully covered by what seems to be a broadcasting tower and the words “Always Live” underneath it. An electric blue and yellow sweater with illustrations scattered across, and the back having a large quote taking up most of the space, “I saw it and I knew.” Other statement outerwear pieces have bold colors and equally as bold graphics and patterns.
