Original Story (01/22/25): Bring on the Paris Fashion Week sneaker reveals! Chicago’s own Isimeme “Easy” Otabor was spotted attending Pharrell and NIGO’s Louis Vuitton FW25 show this week in what appears to be his upcoming Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low collab.
Easy has been part of the sneaker and streetwear scene for years, leading to him landing a job as a buyer at RSVP Gallery, the Chicago boutique founded by Don C and Virgil Abloh. In 2015, Easy founded his own brand called Infinite Archives, known for its unique method of storytelling by chronicling culture through specific years.
Since May 2024, Easy has been revisiting the year 2002 with daily posts on the Infinite Archive Instagram page, sharing a look back at what was going on in music, art, fashion, sports, video games, and more. You know which Air Jordan sneaker launched in 2002? The Air Jordan 17.
Otabor popping out at Paris Fashion Week in a never-before-seen AJ17 Low seems to confirm the reports of an upcoming Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low project, news first shared by Sneaker Market RO back in November.
The pair worn by Easy features a cream-colored leather upper, paired with black tongues, metallic silver accents, and a translucent outsole. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed that the pair he’s wearing is the Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low, its colors do line up closely with the reported “Beach/Metallic Silver-Black” color scheme. However, it doesn’t account for the purple midsole on Easy’s pair.
The Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low is slated to drop Fall 2025 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab an early look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
Update (01/22/25): Following Easy’s PFW reveal, Infinite Archives is now fanning the flames of the Air Jordan 17 Low collab rumors with a new post on Instagram. The post features Mike Bibby’s Air Jordan 17 Low PE from 2002, dressed in a Sacramento Kings colorway. Easy’s pair appears to draw inspiration from this Player Exclusive, as the two share the same purple midsole.
