Limited to just 100 pairs, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 1 F&F was created to commemorate the release of OMERTA, the Colombian superstar’s new album with Ryan Castro. The special colorway was officially unveiled during Balvin’s album listening event and birthday celebration in Medellín earlier this month.
We linked up with J Balvin while he was in Chicago for his performance at Sueños music festival and got a closer look at his personal pair of this special colorway. The kicks are a murdered out version of Balvin’s first Jordan collab, replacing the bold tie-dye design with all-black canvas uppers, a matching black midsole, and an iced out black outsole. Like the pair that released in 2020, these also come with interchangeable patches, including a Balvin smiley face logo patch and an OMERTA logo patch. The pair Balvin brought to Chicago had on a never-before-seen red patch adorned with the logo of Ryan Castro’s AWOO Team label and creative agency.
