There’s something that just makes sense about J. Press and Only NY linking up. One brand has been dressing New York since 1902, the other has been repping the city in its truest form since 2007.
The 9-piece collection leans into what both brands already do well. J. Press brings its staple silhouettes to the table, such as a navy blazer, an Oxford shirt, and a rugby stripe. Only NY infuses everything with its distinctly illustrative, downtown New York energy. The most standout detail might be what they did with the J. Press bulldog mascot, reimagined entirely in Only NY’s graphic style through custom artwork and original label designs.
The capsule also includes a NY sweater, a bulldog crewneck, a NY crew hat, a Homies of NY tie, and an enamel pin. It’s a full lineup that doesn’t try too hard, just easy, wearable pieces built to actually live in your rotation.
What ties it all together is a mutual respect for where they both come from. Only NY co-founders Micah Belamarich and Julian Goldstein pointed to keeping most of the production in the USA as a deliberate choice, one that felt right given both brands’ roots.
