PUMA’s bold Mostro silhouette is being reimagined through the minimalist lens of Montreal-based design studio JJJJound.
Arriving in Brown and Navy colorways, the JJJJound x PUMA Mostro is equipped with a premium suede upper, paired with a supple leather tongue, and the Mostro’s spiked sole unit underfoot in black. Departing from the original Mostro design from 1999, JJJJound swaps out the forefoot strap closure in place of conventional off-white laces, matching the shoe’s leather sockliner. Additional features include JJJJound branding on the heels and insoles and PUMA’s Formstrip rendered with simple stitching on the side panels.
Following its reintroduction in early 2024, the Mostro has been remixed by a wide range of PUMA’s collaborators, from A$AP Rocky and Aries to Inside Tag and CNCPTS. This latest collaboration with JJJJound continues PUMA’s push to recontextualize the Mostro for a new generation, blending archival design with contemporary sensibilities.
