Following their first collaboration in 2025, A BATHING APE and KidSuper reunite for a “SUPERBAPE CUP” collection releasing just in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The ambitious project features 48 BAPE STA colorways, each representing one of the nations competing in this summer’s tournament. Every pair features patent leather construction and comes dressed in colors that represent its respective country, drawing inspiration from either national flag palettes or official federation kits.
KidSuper incorporates its signature eye motif into each design with cut-outs on the side panel STA logos, while the brand’s face motif is stamped on the lateral heel of the left shoe. Just like the KidSuper BAPE STAs from the duo’s first collaboration, these pairs come with blister packaging, a reference to the action figure-style packaging used for BAPE’s Marvel and DC footwear collabs.
Ten of the 48 colorways will be available for purchase on launch day at BAPE STORE locations and KidSuper Studio, while the online release for all 48 colorways will be via a pre-order program. The day 1 colorways include USA, Mexico, England, France, Japan, Spain, Ghana, Argentina, Brazil, and Portugal.
Six of the 48 colorways were designed in collaboration with Dennis Mazur, aka SneakerDenn, a London-based sneaker curator, archivist, and storyteller. His contributions include the colorways for France, Japan, Uruguay, South Korea, Australia, and Sweden. Read more about his role in the project here.
The campaign for the “SUPERBAPE CUP” collection enlists a cast of fashionable grandmothers, each modeling the BAPE STA of her respective country, bringing a playful and unexpected energy to the global football-inspired project.
The ten initial colorways from the KidSuper x BAPE “SUPERBAPE CUP” collection will be available June 11th via KidSuper Studio and select BAPE STORE locations.
