Kith‘s 15th anniversary continues with a return to one of its most established automotive partnerships, reuniting with BMW for the fourth chapter of their ongoing collaboration.
For 2026, Ronnie Fieg and BMW are turning their attention to Inka Orange, the vibrant hue that became synonymous with BMW’s sporting cars in the early 1970s. Originally introduced on the 02 Series in 1971 as a high-visibility color for inclement conditions, Inka Orange eventually became one of the more recognizable shades in BMW’s early performance era and has since developed a cult following among collectors.
The color serves as the foundation for two one-of-one BMWs designed by Fieg: a 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi and a 1987 BMW M6 E24. The two cars connect different generations of BMW grand tourers while continuing the color story that Kith and BMW have developed throughout their four chapters together.
The 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi underwent a complete frame-off restoration, with the body stripped down to bare metal before being KTL-treated and refinished in Inka Orange. Fieg and BMW rebuilt the car using original components sourced from BMW archives, including its M30 inline-six engine, transmission, rear axle, suspension, and brakes. Inside, the caramel leather cabin is finished with an embossed Kith monogram throughout, alongside restored instrumentation and wood trim.
Fieg’s second creation is a 1987 BMW M6 E24, a direct descendant of the 3.0 CSi’s E9 chassis. The M6 received a complete rotisserie restoration while retaining its original character, with the body similarly stripped to bare metal and refinished in Inka Orange. Its S38 inline-six, Getrag five-speed manual transmission, differential, suspension, brakes, and OEM BBS Style 5 wheels were all rebuilt, while the interior continues the caramel leather treatment with Kith monogram detailing.
The two bespoke cars also serve as the inspiration for a broader Kith for BMW collection of apparel and accessories, bringing the Inka Orange color story from BMW’s archive into Kith’s contemporary design language.
