As the NBA All-Star Weekend returns to Los Angeles, Kith is marking the moment with a special collaboration with the NBA that looks back at one of the league’s most celebrated showcases. The Kith for NBA Hardwood Classics collection draws inspiration from the 2001 NBA All-Star Game, blending archival references with the brand’s elevated approach to sportswear.
The 2001 All-Star Game is celebrated as one of the most thrilling matchups in league history, distinguished not only by its remarkable rosters but also by a unique uniform choice. In a break from tradition, players donned their respective team jerseys instead of the typical East vs. West attire. This distinctive approach profoundly influences the design ethos of the collection, informing the graphics, silhouettes, and tailored elements that define the range.
The campaign imagery elegantly captures the era’s essence, spotlighting three iconic players from the 2001 All-Star Game: Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Latrell Sprewell. This deliberate casting choice deepens the collection’s ties to that unforgettable night in basketball history.
Apparel highlights include satin bomber jackets finished with embroidered team detailing, Mesh Leon Shirts paired with coordinating mesh shorts, and premium Vintage Tees. A standout piece comes from Kith’s continued partnership with AVIREX, featuring a leather bomber jacket covered in team patches, Kith All-Star branding at the chest, and NBA iconography across the back.
On the accessories side, Kith expands the storytelling with an all-over-printed Wilson collectible basketball, complete with custom packaging, and stylish headwear crafted with ’47. Additional commemorative pieces include ceramic mugs, keychains, a Los Angeles Lakers plush teddy bear, and a blanket. The collection also features two custom LED neon signs produced with Yellowpop, spotlighting the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks.
To coincide with All-Star Weekend, Kith will host an early launch at its West Hollywood flagship on Thursday, February 12th.
