Kith x New York Yankees Unveiled with Campaign Starring Jason Alexander

"Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle…Costanza!?"

Kith has teamed up with their hometown MLB team, the New York Yankees, for a collection of apparel, accessories, and footwear celebrating one of the most iconic franchises in sport.

Dedicated to the Yankees’ record-breaking 27 World Series Championship wins — the most of any MLB team — the collection features genuine MLB artwork and retro-inspired Cooperstown Collection logos across Kith Classics silhouettes like the Coaches Jacket, the Pinehurst Sherpa Jacket, and the Nelson Crewneck. The lineup also includes novelty outerwear featuring all-over logo patches and co-branded artwork, hihglighted on pieces such as the Corduroy Avery Bomber Jacket, the Brixton puffed Shirt Jacket, and the Wyona Full-Zip. Streetwear staples, including hoodies, pullovers, and sweatshirts, are designed with a slightly oversized fit for easy layering.

Kith also continues its partnership with AVIREX, reimagining the brand’s iconic leather Flight Jacket with Yankees branding and artwork. The piece is available in three iterations—one with all-over Cooperstown Collective patchwork and embroidery with each World Series Championship year, another designed in Kith’s staple Nocturnal hue, finished with python-printed accents, and a third designed in the Yankees’ classic team colors with Genuine MLB logo artwork.

Footwear also plays a major role in the collection. Ronnie Fieg and Clarks Originals’ 8th St collaboration partners with the Yankees on two tri-branded Sunderland silhouettes, available in Sand and Navy colorways. Made of premium Kennet grain leather, this iteration of the Sunderland features Yankees logo embossing on the vamp, Fieg, Clarks Originals, and Yankees-branded fobs, and gold foil Kith, Yankees, and Clarks Originals branding on the tongue.

As a precursor to the main drop, Kith released a special Swarovski crystal-encrusted Victus baseball bat as part of its Monday Program series. Handmade for over three days, this collectible bat features six different sizes of 8,750 Montana Blue and Clear stones, and comes complete with an acrylic display case and card, and a sticker of authenticity. The Monday Program also included wooden Victus, bats, baseballs and Heart of the Hide gloves made with Rawlings, and a custom neon sign in collaboration with Yellowpop.

The campaign for the collection stars actor Jason Alexander, best known for his role as George Costanza on the hit sitcom Seinfeld. In the show, Costanza worked as the Assistant to the Traveling Secretary for the New York Yankees, a comedic storyline that has since been embraced by the real Yankees organization with “Seinfeld Nights” and Costanza bobblehead giveaways.

Costanza has become an unlikely fashion icon, known for his “effortless drip,” thanks to the lack of care for trends in his wardrobe. Notably, he was an early adopter of streetwear brands like Stüssy, even wearing the brand on an episode of Seinfeld back in 1991. Alexander modeling for this Kith x Yankees campaign modeling not only strengthens his connection to the team, but also cements his status as a lowkey drip god. As Costanza himself might say, “Worlds are colliding.”

Kith for the New York Yankees releases globally at 11am ET/CET on Friday, September 26th, at select Kith Shops, Kith.com, and the Kith App. Check out the campaign images below.
