Ksubi x Mowalola Is Unapologetically Y2K

Ksubi has teamed up with London-based, Nigerian-born designer Mowalola for a 9-piece capsule blending bold design, signature denim, and Y2K style.

Known for her punk-infused, provocative, and subversive fashion sense, Mowalola brings her unique vision to this collaboration. Heavy distressing, bespoke cheetah print, and a Doberman motif are signature design cues seen throughout the offering. Highlight pieces include Mowalola’s iconic bomber jacket reimagined with MK branding, tiny hot shorts, and an ultra-low-rise jean modelled from Ksubi’s early ’00s archives.

“As the vanguard of today’s leading designers, Mowalola was at the top of our list of who we wanted to collaborate next with,” says Ksubi Creative Director Pip Edwards. “As a brand that welcomes controversy with open arms, Mowa’s provocative approach to design and creativity was too tempting to ignore. When we started to bring our world’s and iconic styles together it soon became clear we were on the cusp of something very exciting. Seeing the brand through Mowa’s lens and vice versa enabled us to push boundaries even further and achieve a collection that truly embodies the defiant spirits of both brands.”

Shot by Jessica Mae Propper in Los Angeles, the campaign showcases a lineup of cultural tastemakers, including Suki Baby, Skaiwater, Strawberry, Chloe Spence, Izzy Spears, and Khadi. Styled by Emily Macfie, each represents the intersection of fashion, music, and digital influence that defines today’s youth.
