MadeMe, the NYC-based streetwear brand with a “by girls, for girls” ethos, has unveiled its first collaboration with Dr. Martens.
Erin Magee, MadeMe’s founder and former VP of design at Supreme, has been at the forefront of cool for over two decades. It’s kind of insane that it took this long for a MadeMe x Dr. Martens collab to happen, as both brands operate it in the same rebellious space in women’s fashion.
The MadeMe x Dr. Martens collaboration puts a soft twist on a workwear staple, the steel toe. Their rework of the classic 1461 3-eye silhouette features a platform Quad sole and a heart-shaped cutout on the toe to reveal the steel underneath. The shoe comes in two colorways, black and silver, and debossed dual-branding is found on the heel.
The campaign for the collab stars rising “it-girl” Lola Young, a British singer-songwriter from South London.
The MadeMe x Dr. Martens 1461 Quad drops May 24th via Dr. Martens, MadeMe, and select retailers such as Dover Street Market and SSENSE. Grab a preview below.
