Original Story (07/18/24): Marvel and adidas have reunited to release a new collection in celebration of the theatrical release of Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine.
The highlight of the collection is the Rivalry Low two-pack, consisting of colorways for each of the film’s title characters. The “Deadpool” colorway features a red suede upper with black accents, atop a black sole unit with a red blood splatter. Affixed to the laces is Deadpool’s leather pouch with a Deadpool logo button snap and “All The Pouches!” writing. The “Wolverine” pair is inspired by his classic yellow X-Men suit and features nubuck and leather construction. Special details include the X-Men logo on the tongues and metal claw graphics on the side stripes. The characters themselves appear on the heels of their respective colorways.
There is also a performance football cleat, the adizero Electric, featuring a red and black color scheme and the same pouch as the “Deadpool” Rivalry Low. Comic book-style dialogue bubbles can be found on the heels with quotes from the ‘Merc with a Mouth’.
Rounding out the collection is a selection of graphic tees and another adidas Originals sneaker. This shoe will actually be worn in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie and will be officially unveiled on July 26th once the film hits theaters.
