Italy-based multi-disciplinary creative Mattias Gollin is back with another limited drop of his hand-embellished Vans, this time releasing the “Black Sapphire” colorway of his Authentic collaboration.
This artisanal spin on the Authentic, which Mattias dubs “Autentiche,” is covered in 2,000 gems, with each pair taking up to eight hours to complete. The “Black Sapphire” iteration is murdered out with a full-black color scheme across the shoe, with the uppers decked out in black pearls and crystals. Mattias Gollin labeling appears on the tongue, as well as on the co-branded insole.
The release of the “Black Sapphire” colorway is a follow-up to the classic black-and-white checkerboard colorway, which dropped in Miami back in December for Art Basel.
Due to the intricate handcrafted process to make each pair, the Mattias Gollin x Vans Autentiche “Black Sapphire” will be available in extremely limited quantities. Catch the drop on February 25th at 3pm CET (Italy time) on mattiasgollin.com.
