Los Angeles-based womenswear brand Miaou and adidas Originals are launching a collaborative collection that channels vintage motorsport aesthetics and feminine self-expression.
Kickstarting the partnership are two distinct footwear styles — the Mei Elite Miaou and the Miaou Boot. The Mei Elite features a silver satin upper with contrasting yellow stripes and embroidered “M” branding on the tongue, while the boot takes adidas’ Taekwondo tooling and reimagines it with a high-cut mesh body, leather Three Stripes, and a black metallic “M”-branded zip pull. Both pairs honor adidas’ sports heritage while infusing vintage flair and Miaou’s signature sensuality.
Inspired by automotive culture, apparel pieces include a black slim fit jacket with an asymmetric two way zipper, a black dress with navy padded sleeves, and a three-piece matching navy and yellow set comprised of a corset style track jacket, track pants, and a base layer top. The lineup is completed by a yellow shoulder bag with contrasting navy branded details.
The accompanying campaign features Gabbriette, Devon Lee Carlson, and founder Alexia Elkaim as they traverse a desert landscape in a vintage car, highlighting Miaou’s rebellious spirit in a Hollywood Western-style setting. The models then ditch their automobile and run off at full speed, wearing the Mei Elite and Miaou Boot silhouettes — only to be picked up by Elkaim in a new ride.
Founded in 2016 by Alexia Elkaim, Miaou has emerged as a key force in shaping contemporary womenswear. The brand reinterprets vintage silhouettes through a modern, feminine lens while cultivating a passionate global community of collaborators, muses, and friends.
