New Balance’s 327 has seen an immense number of releases in 2020 so far, and it’s set to become the company’s most high-profile model of the year. Now, however, the brand is putting a sustainable spin on a 327 release that lets the silhouette do the talking.

The New Balance 327 “Undyed” is just like the name says; all materials on the shoe are left completely undyed from their natural state. Dyeing materials is one of the most water and energy-intensive components of any shoemaking operation, meaning that this colorway takes a significant amount of waste out of the process–in fact, textile dyeing is the second biggest water pollution industry in the world. The idea produces gorgeous results here, too: The model’s paneling and materials really shine through in their untouched state. A creamy canvas upper is accented by aggressive soft grey paneling and branding. The model is rounded out by its signature aggressive outsole in a gum brown color surrounding a white EVA midsole.

Look for the New Balance 327 “Undyed” to release on August 8th, 2020 for $100 via New Balance’s website. In the meantime, check out photos of the shoe down below.
