Week 3. Patriots win, Dolphins lose and the world keeps on turning. 7 teams are so far undefeated and 6 teams are still winless. The Cardinals have not won a game yet but managed to tie their week 1 game keeping them out of the 0-3 club. That’s enough numbers for the week, let’s get into the fits.
I’m starting this Style Guide off with a fit that may not be for everyone. Kenny Stills arrived to the facility in a fit that few people could wear properly and he did it with a swagger that fits his personality. The brand new Texan is getting a bigger role in the Houston offense and I expect to see his fits get a bigger role here as well.
Todd Gurley traveled comfortably in the Ovadia and Sons patchwork sweatsuit. This isn’t your typical groutfit, you can cop this look for a slim $640, not including the 3’s Gurley is wearing. While the Chlorophyll is not a hype colorway, the Jordan 3 is a classic silhouette that works seamlessly with his grayscale outfit. You can pick the Chlorophyll’s up now for around $100 depending on your size.
Trayvon Mullen brought together some of the most traditional hype brands for this simple fit. The camo Supreme hat and white AF1’s are the only departures from the all black outfit that includes BAPE, Billionaire Boys Club, Supreme, and Louis Vuitton. It’s an all star lineup of hype brands.
A We Got Soul tee and a painted denim jacket come together with a pair of rolled bottom Burberry pants for Billy Turner. Turner’s style for week 3 is very unique and was unlike anything anyone else was wearing.
Tones of purple ruled Odell Beckham Jr.’s style before kickoff vs the Rams. OBJ built this clean fit with a pair of Martine Rose sweatpants, a Louis Vuitton jacket by Virgil Abloh, and the John Elliott x Lebron James Icon that released this month. The Martine Rose sweats are exceptional, if you have $500 and wear a size medium, Barneys has you covered.
The Giants got their first win with Danny Dimes as the starting QB. For the occasion B.J. Hill arrived in the Giants Blue 3-piece suit with the high cuff pants. Hill caps it all off with a pair of the coveted Common Projects Achilles Low in white.
Keith Smith had it going for the flight to Indianapolis. An exceptionally clean dark grey plaid suit put together with the white turtleneck and a heavy cuban link. Smith tops it all off with his personal merch venture “Make Fullbacks Great Again.” We’ve seen several FB’s around the league wearing the hats so far this season and expect to see even more.
Mohamed Sanu went virtually all black, including his “got mohamed?” hoodie. I love it. Sanu also brought out the clear Rimowa x Off-White suitcase. You can see some of his travel essentials through the case including the vital wet wipes. You’re a travel ameteur if you’re not traveling with wet wipes and a Tide to go pen.
It’s incredibly simple and if it weren’t for the hat, Julio Jones likely would not have made my list this week. But what can I say? It’s cool and I’m all for cool stuff.
Alright, not only is this shirt stupid dope, the picture is also super fire. Matthew Gay knows damn well how sick this sweatshirt is and is making sure you know too. Few tee’s are as cool looking as the old school sports tees that had the big, detailed, screen printed graphics. Hats off to Matthew Gay for an all time shirt.
Genard Avery put together a solid look that included the volt colored Off-White x Nike AF1 and a vintage wolf tee from Keiser Clark. The wolf tees are a whole vibe, which is obvious when you try to buy one and realize the only 5 available are Medium or smaller. So if you snapped on the Martine Rose sweats, go get yourself a tee to match and tag me in the fit pic.
I had to end this with one of the wide receiver GOATS in all of football. The hall of famer was in San Francisco on Sunday to celebrate his induction into the HOF. T.O. showed up and flexed in the tonal turtleneck and blazer/slacks combo. He looks like a man ready for a good time as he dapped up Marquise Goodwin during pregame.
