Original Story (05/27/25): BMX superstar Nigel Sylvester has another Jordan collab on the way, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Nitro.”
This AJ1 Low mirrors the design of the Air Jordan 1 High sample that Nigel wore in 2022 to celebrate the launch of his Rizzoli book Go, which itself was a color swap of the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 that released publicly in 2018. Only two pairs of the black Nigel AJ1 were made: one belonging to Nigel, and the other to designer Frank Cooke.
The upcoming AJ1 Low features a black leather upper with hand-applied distress marks, mimicking the scuff marks that appear on Nigel’s shoes after a long day of biking and the trial and error of mastering tricks. Another unique feature is the “removed” lateral Swoosh with tracing around it as if someone was drawing the Swoosh back on. Other details include a mini Swoosh embroidered on the lateral toe, a on Swoosh on the lateral “Bike Air” branding on the tongue tags and insoles, waxed red outsoles to add to the distressed look, and “Jordan Biking Co., Est. 2017” printed on the inner collar, marking the year that the first Nigel x Jordan project was conceived.
