Nike Sportswear is bringing the AIR MAX 1000 to Nike By You, giving consumers the opportunity to customize the 3D-printed Air Max silhouette with their own color combination.

Originally introduced as a modern interpretation of the 1987 Air Max 1, the AIRMAX 1000 is produced through Nike’s partnership with Zellerfeld, using 3D-printing technology to create the shoe’s upper and tooling. For its latest iteration, the silhouette gets an updated 3D-printed mesh designed to feel lighter and softer, while a refined midsole allows the visible Nike Air unit to activate more fully underfoot.

The Nike By You version offers two upper color options — Black and Stone — alongside seven different Air unit colors — Olive Aura, Racer Blue, Black, Team Orange, Volt, Metallic Silver, and Pink Spell — creating 14 possible combinations. The customization ranges from more understated tonal looks to contrasting color pairings that put more emphasis on the sculpted Air Max tooling.

The design continues to pull from the original Air Max 1, with wavy patterns and textured details throughout the upper inspired by the silhouette’s signature mudguard. The outsole also receives updated shaping and a refined lug design as part of the latest 3D-printed construction.

The Nike AIRMAX 1000 By You releases October 6th at 11am ET on Nike By You, available exclusively in the United States for a limited time. Check out all 14 color combos below.
