Although the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95 has ended, Nike continues to revisit coveted colorways from the archive. Next up is the “Apple Green” (sometimes referred to as “Apple Blue”), which originally launched as a JD Sports exclusive in 2010.
The retro lands in the same Anthracite-to-Iron-Grey gradient build across the upper that made the original worth tracking down, with Photo Blue and Action Green splitting duties across the Air unit. The gradient shift within the bubbles remains one of the pair’s most striking details, while candy blue and apple green hits on the tongue logo round things out.
What’s different this time? The heel Air Max unit is noticeably bigger, featuring the “Big Bubble” treatment that Nike has applied to the silhouette throughout the 30th anniversary run.
