Nike is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the classic Air Max Plus by bringing back one of its OG colorways: the “Voltage Purple.”
Designed by industry veteran Sean McDowell and originally released in 1998, the Air Max Plus is known better in some regions as the “Tn,” the two letters representing the Tuned Air technology that made its debut on the silhouette. The “Voltage Purple” colorway was last seen in 2018 for the 20th anniversary and is now seeing another retro again in 2023 for the quarter-century celebration. It features purple mesh construction with a black PU cage for structural support, while underfoot is a white midsole with see-through windows that showcase the Air technology.
If this purple and orange colorway isn’t for you, Nike is also planning on retroing the OG “Hyper Blue” colorway, set to release early next year.
Look for the 2023 retro of the Nike Air Max Plus “Voltage Purple” to release before year’s end on SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out official images below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
