Designed by Tinker Hatfield and endorsed by multi-sport athlete Bo Jackson, the 1990 Nike Air Trainer SC has stood the test the of time. Along with the original “Auburn” colorway, Nike will soon be releasing another Air Trainer SC High in a Royals-inspired colorway.
Like the “Auburn” colorway, this upcoming “Royals” Air Trainer SC highlights an era in Bo’s athletic career. After winning the Heisman Trophy at Auburn in 1985, Bo went on to play professional baseball with the Kansas City Royals. Light blue leather uppers with grey mesh paneling and royal blue accents are a nod to the team. Additional details include a black Swoosh and a white and grey full-length Phylon midsole. Though Nike has released Royals-themed Air Trainer SCs in the past, this one comes in a new color blocking.
The Nike Air Trainer SC High “Royals” is set to release sometime in 2022 on Nike.com. Check out official images below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
