Nike Caitlin 1 Signature Collection Release Date

Caitlin Clark’s first signature sneaker is no longer just a concept. Nike has now confirmed exactly when the Nike Caitlin 1 will roll out, along with the first wave of colorways accompanying the launch. We first covered the shoe back when it was initially revealed, but Nike has since filled in the details on the release plan.

The Caitlin 1 marks Clark’s first signature model with the brand, built with her speed and shooting range in mind. The shoe runs on a new Nike Opticast upper, constructed from raised polyurethane nodes that Nike says helps cut down drag while keeping the fit locked in, along with a forefoot Air Zoom Turbo unit and Cushlon cushioning underfoot. The design also carries a handful of personal touches, from a stacked Swoosh nodding to her initials to hidden C’s and 2’s worked into the upper.

“I hope every boy and girl put this shoe on and hope that they can have a signature one day, or that they can go on the court and make 35-foot threes,” says Clark. “I hope this gives them that sense of belief and that sense of confidence to achieve whatever they want to.”

The shoe isn’t launching alone, either. Nike is rolling out an 18-piece apparel collection alongside it, split between performance-driven Aero-FIT pieces and a new Standard Issue Stretch line, which brings Nike’s Standard Issue styling to women’s basketball for the first time. The lineup spans jackets, hoodies, tees, and other everyday pieces, with a recurring cement-textured print throughout that ties back to Clark’s home court growing up.

Six colorways are confirmed for this initial Caitlin 1 release, arriving in waves between October and December rather than all at once. Here’s a rundown on each pair.

“Caitlin Blue” wraps the upper in a deep cobalt with a chrome swoosh and a hint of pink peeking through at the outsole. Nike says this colorway takes its cue from the sky, meant to reflect the openness and range Clark brings to the court. Put the “Caitlin Blue” colorway through an inverted color filter and you get the “Warning Code,” dressed in a pale yellow upper set off by a bright blue outsole and swoosh, a color choice Nike ties to Clark’s intensity once she gets going.

“Midnight Fever” goes full hot pink, fading from a light bubblegum pink on the toe down into a deeper red-pink through the heel. It’s a nod to her 22nd career game, when she posted the first triple-double by a rookie in WNBA history.

“Cave Stone” comes out in a muted, oatmeal-grey upper with a cream sole. A sand-toned palette meant to represent the calm Clark keeps late in games.

“Ice Cold” has a white upper tinted with a blue hue, an icy blue swoosh, and a translucent outsole. It’s built around composure, marking the game where she posted a 45-point, 10-assist double-double, the first of its kind in league history.

“Purple Venom” rounds things out with a lavender-purple upper with a red-to-blue gradient swoosh, drawing on her Iowa roots — though not through the school’s actual colors. Instead, the shoe references how hawks perceive ultraviolet light, tying it to the way Clark reads the floor.

Expect to see even more colorways release this year and in 2027, as Nike has made clear that additional Caitlin 1 colorways are already planned beyond these six as the line continues to expand.
