After months of anticipation, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has officially shared the first full look at her signature shoe with Nike, the Caitlin 1.
Clark has spent the past week building suspense around the reveal, changing her Instagram handle to “caitlin1” and updating her profile picture multiple times with zoomed-in shots of the sneaker. Now, thanks to a new Instagram photo dump, fans finally have a clearer look at the silhouette that marks the beginning of a new chapter in Clark’s partnership with Nike.
The Caitlin 1 arrives as a low-top performance basketball model that immediately feels familiar to anyone who has followed Clark’s footwear choices throughout her career. The silhouette carries a sleek, speed-focused profile reminiscent of the Kobe models she has frequently worn on court, though Nike has built plenty of Clark-specific details into the design. According to Nike, the shoe was engineered around three attributes Clark specifically wanted to prioritize: speed, range, and unpredictability.
The Caitlin 1 also debuts Nike’s new Opticast upper, an innovative construction featuring cast PU nodes with varying heights designed to reduce drag and improve on-court movement efficiency. Those raised molded “C” shapes create the flowing wave pattern seen across the shoe, inspired by the ripple effect of the three-point arc while simultaneously nodding to Clark’s initials. On the lateral side, Nike incorporates a layered Swoosh design that subtly forms a “CC” logo, while the medial side swaps the “C” pattern for a series of molded “2” shapes referencing her jersey number.
Underfoot, the performance package combines a Cushlon midsole with an articulated forefoot Air Zoom Turbo unit that sits closer to the foot than traditional setups. The result is enhanced court feel, quicker feedback, and the responsive ride needed for Clark’s deep-range shooting and change-of-pace game. Additional signature touches include Clark’s personal logo embedded into the midsole and friendship bracelet-inspired graphics printed across the insoles.
The debut “Racer Blue” colorway takes center stage in the reveal, though Clark also offered sneak peeks at a couple other upcoming releases. Among them is a bright green “Grinch” colorway for Christmas hidden behind a Santa Claus emoji, while another image features Travis Scott lacing up a black-and-chrome version.
The Nike Caitlin 1 launches October 1st in the “Racer Blue” colorway on SNKRS and at select retailers. The “Grinch” colorway is expected to drop in December, and the black colorway will release in early 2027. Adult sizes are priced at $140, with grade school sizes priced at $115 and pre-school sizes at $105.
