The Protro run of the Kobe 9 continues with the return of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low “Moonwalker.”
Originally released in 2014, the Kobe 9 Elite Low “Moonwalker” pays homage to the king of pop, Michael Jackson, who Kobe Bryant considered a close friend and mentor. They feature a purple Flyknit upper complemented by a silver metallic Swoosh, a black midsole with carbon fiber details, and a translucent outsole with grey moonrock graphics.
The “Moonwalker” colorway is now joining the Kobe 9 Protro release lineup, which kicked off with the all-white “Halo” iterations in 2024. Our first look at the 2025 “Moonwalker” Protro comes from WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark, who wore them as part of Nike’s “So Win” campaign championing women athletes that launched during Super Bowl LIX.
