The second set of sneakers in Virgil Abloh’s “Athlete In Progress” collection is set to debut this week. After the huge success of Virgil’s ‘The Ten’, Nike and Off-White shifted gears to create a female athlete-focused series of sneakers, tapping into Nike’s rich heritage in track and field.
The ‘Athlete In Progress’ series kicked off with the release of the Terra Kiger 5 back in June, and is now being followed up by the Vapor Street silhouette in three colorways: ‘Polarized Blue’, ‘Black’, and ‘Tour Yellow’. A third silhouette, the Waffle Racer, is expected to join the cast next month.
While the first drop of the Nike c/o Virgil Abloh “Athlete in Progress” collection highlighted 800-meter champion Caster Semenya, part two puts the spotlight on World Champion 200-meter sprinter Dina Asher-Smith.
Designed to inspire progress both on and off the field, the OFF-WHITE x Nike Vapor Street (and accompanying apparel) officially releases this Thursday, November 14 at select Nike retailers and Nike.com. Check out the official photos of the three colorways below.
