Nike Brings the World of One Piece to Life With Air Max Plus Collection

The "Devil Fruits" TN pack release info has been announced.

Nike is teaming up with One Piece for a footwear and apparel collection that brings the beloved manga franchise into the world of sport. Drawing from the series’ characters, imagery, and mythology, the collaboration reimagines the Air Max Plus through the lens of the legendary Devil Fruits.

Leading the collection are three Air Max Plus colorways inspired by the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi. Each pair features a completely reworked upper exclusive to the collaboration, with the colors and details reflecting the powers and visual identity of their respective Devil Fruit.

“We were inspired by the superhuman abilities that are unleashed when One Piece characters eat the Devil Fruits, much like the feeling an athlete has when they put on a pair of Nikes,” says Nick Remlinger, GM, Energy Gaming, Nike. “We then started reimagining the beloved Air Max Plus in a way that fans of the silhouette have never seen before. As we bring this collection to life, there are even more surprises coming — just like any great adventure.”

The footwear is accompanied by Air Max Plus jerseys, T-shirts, caps, and a vest, with the apparel pulling directly from One Piece lore. T-shirts feature manga panels reworked in the style of classic Nike advertisements, as well as artwork inspired by the Jolly Roger drawn by protagonist Monkey D. Luffy as a “mark of a promise.” A Nike x One Piece collaboration logo also appears throughout the collection.

The vest takes inspiration from the effects of the Devil Fruits themselves, which grant supernatural abilities to those who consume them while leaving them “hated by the sea” and unable to swim. Together, the collection brings elements of the One Piece universe into familiar Nike silhouettes while maintaining a connection to the franchise’s longstanding influence on sports culture.

The collection will make its worldwide debut in Tokyo from September 4–6 at Dr. B’s RESEARCH LAB, a three-day pop-up in Harajuku. The experience will feature the full collection, including an exclusive T-shirt, with admission and purchasing access determined by lottery.
