Original Story (06/02/24): The Olympics are back in Paris in 2024. After skateboarding made its debut as a sport at the 2020 Summer Games, many fans are eagerly awaiting to see which skaters take home the gold this year.

To celebrate skateboarding’s inclusion in the Paris 2024 Olympics, Nike SB has been releasing special Paris-themed Dunks throughout the year. Following in the footsteps of the “City of Love” and “City of Style” releases is an upcoming Dunk Low that pays homage to Paris’ love of theatre.

A sample pair of this upcoming “City of Theatre” SB Dunk Low reveals a design that includes gold-colored cracked leather paneling that represent a theatre’s gold walls, as well as red velvet tongues and collars representing theatre seats and curtains. Art Deco-style cinema font is found on the Nike SB-branded tongue tags and insoles.

This sample pair also features a brown oil stain around the heel of the midsole, though according to Sneaker Files, this will not be included in the retail release.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “City of Theatre” (aka “City of Cinema”) is slated to release Holiday 2024 on SNKRS and at select skate shops. Grab an early look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
