Nike’s “Move to Zero” mission towards zero waste has brought us a ton of new products, both as new designs as well as eco-friendly versions of already existing models. This upcoming release falls into the latter category as the much-hyped Dunk Low gets a “Crater” makeover courtesy of Nike SB.
Using similar sustainable design approaches as the Jordan “Crater” collection and the Nike SB Janoski Flyleather, this Dunk Low Pro E (E for Eco) features a post-industrial recycled canvas upper with overlays made from Nike Grind-infused rubber. Recycled Nike Grind material is also used on the outsole, while the midsole is made from Nike’s ecofriendly Crater Foam. The sockliner is made from recycled EVA foam and a recycled polyester top cloth, while the Zoom Air bag is made from recycled TPU. Other sustainable details include laces made from wasted yarn, a stitched-edge collar, tongue label made from recycled polyester, and a minimalist Swoosh.
The Nike Dunk Low Pro E “Crater” is scheduled to release at local skate shops on Saturday, October 17th. Check out official images below as well as an unboxing video courtesy of Eric Koston.
