Nike is celebrating 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend with another installment of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s “Coming to America” collection, which includes the Zoom Freak 1 in an “Employee of the Month” colorway.
This Zoom Freak 1 is inspired by Eddie Murphy’s uniform while working at Mcdowell’s in the 1988 film Coming To America, one of Giannis’s favorite films. The shoe features a black mesh upper with tartan plaid patterned accents on the throat and on the oversized Swoosh on the midsole. The game royal blue accents on the front midsole panels and sock liners represent the pants of the uniform. Completing the shoe is a gold embroidered Giannis Antetokounmpo logo at the tongue and at the back heel.
The Zoom Freak 1 “Employee of the Month” is set to release as part of Nike’s NBA All Star Weekend lineup on February 14th. Stay tuned for release info on the accompanying apparel.
