Noah has unveiled an official project with the iconic rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers.
“I’ve decided that I will not try to convince others to be Red Hot Chili Peppers fans, nor will I be overly nostalgic,” says Noah founder Brendon Babenzien. “Let’s just call this one person’s history with a particular band.”
Babenzien recalls first hearing Red Hot Chili Peppers’ music in the ’80s on New York’s alternative radio station WLIR and through the local skateboarding community. He also recalls watching the music video “True Men Don’t Kill Coyotes” and gravitating towards the band’s strange personality and sick bass lines.
Noah’s RHCP collection includes jackets, hoodies, tees, and more with a colorful illustrated flower as the main graphic, a spin on the band’s red asterisk-shaped logo. One of the tees revisits the cover art for the band’s 1989 album Mother’s Milk, while a black long-sleeve reads “True Men Don’t Kill Coyotes” across the chest, nodding to the song that sparked Babenzien’s love for the band.
The Noah x Red Hot Chili Peppers collection drops this Thursday, September 29th at all Noah locations, Dover Street Market (LA, London, Ginza), and online on the Noah website (11am ET). Check out the lookbook photos below.
