Manchester’s NOTE skate shop just got its Nike SB moment, and it did not disappoint. The NOTE x Nike SB Dunk Low “Brew & Biscuits” is exactly the kind of sneaker that fully commits to the theme, though it may not be obvious on first glance, just wait until you take a closer look at the details.

The upper is built in a warm, fuzzy suede across tones of flax and honeycomb, sitting on a clean sail midsole that keeps things looking intentionally understated. Nothing flashy until you get to the nitty gritty. The laces are printed with a graphic of cookies (or biscuits across the pond), but if you prefer solid colors, spare laces comes in clean white, solid tan, and dark brown.

For further customization, the shoes come with three sets of interchangeable velcro swooshes, including a biscuit-textured one seen on the official images, and two waffle wafer-textured sets in chocolate brown and strawberry pink.

Flip the shoe around, and NOTE’s co-branded logo is embroidered gold on the heel tab, very discreetly. Inside the tongue, the left shoe reads “Strength of Brew” with a coffee cup chart, and the other reads “Selection of Biscuits” with a full biscuit guide. The insoles go full out: an all-over print of British tea biscuits, including some stamped with the NOTE and Nike SB logos.

This is the kind of storytelling that actually lands. No forced metaphors, just a Manchester skate shop putting a part of their culture into a shoe.
