Crocs has teamed up with One Piece to launch a special collection of four Classic Clogs, drawing inspiration from the anime’s beloved characters as we eagerly anticipate the second season of Netflix’s live-action adaptation.
Just last year, One Piece and Crocs released a “Luffy Gear 5” Classic Clog alongside atmos in celebration of the Japanese retailer’s 20th anniversary.
This year, leader of the Straw Hats Pirates Monkey D. Luffy, Tony Tony Chopper, Zoro, and the Thousand Sunny (the Straw Hats’ second ship) all have a Classic Clog adorned with their own themed jibbitz.
The colors of Luffy’s croc match those of his everyday attire. His croc has a red upper with an all-over print of his Jolly Roger, the crew’s emblem, to match his shirt. For the bottom half of Luffy, the croc has a blue and white midsole and a black outsole, and, finally, to represent his yellow sash that hangs around his waist, are the sports mode straps made of fabric. In terms of jibbitz, you can see that it’s filled with all things Luffy, such as the iconic Straw Hat and its flag, Gum Gum fruit, golden berries, a large piece of meat (his favorite), and his wanted poster.
For Chopper, the colors also match his appearance: a bright blue upper, a pink and beige midsole with the beige extending to the outsole, and a striped white and yellow strap adorned with a blue backpack, along with his own Jolly Roger on the side of the strap. As for jibbitz, there aren’t any on the croc itself because Chopper’s lively face takes up all the space.
Zoro’s clog follows the color theme of the rest and features a dark green upper with an all-over print of his Jolly Roger, a black-and-green striped midsole, and a contrast teal outsole. For the strap, a red fabric tightly snugs his two legendary blades on one side, and the other features his gold dangly earring. For jibbitz, the croc displays his wanted poster, the Straw Hats Pirates flag, a wooden beer mug, and one jibbit of himself.
Lastly, we have the Thousand Sunny croc with an upper that actually resembles the ship itself, complete with the lion on the toe. The midsole has a pop of blue to mimic the waves the ship is riding, the outsole grounds it in beige, and the strap features a black-and-red stripe.
The drop also includes additional jibbitz of other characters in the show, such as Nami, Usopp, and Sanji.
The One Piece x Crocs Classic Clogs collection is slated to release in adult and kids sizing on March 5th through the Crocs website and select retailers. Check them out below.
