Shortly following a collaboration with Gucci, Palace Skateboards is now teaming up with adidas Y-3 on a soccer-themed collection. This collaboration closes out the adidas Y-3 “20 Years: Recoded” series, celebrating two decades of the partnership between the Three Stripes and acclaimed Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto.
The campaign for the Palace Y-3 collection features soccer star Zinedine Zidane and pro skater Lucas Puig, who bond over their passion for their respective sports. Turns out Zidane has some experience with skateboarding.
The collection itself is inspired by the Y-3 and adidas archives. On-pitch styles include a soccer jersey that features the Palace Triferg and Y-3 branding on the chest, as well as Yohji Yamamoto’s signature rose motif. Other standout pieces include a reversible puffer jacket, a reversible souvenir jacket, and a tailored black jacket with matching joggers. There’s also tracksuits, hoodies, and tees, as well as a footwear – three colorways of the Y-3 YUUTO sneaker, a style originally released in 2004. Accessories include sweat-resistant training caps, beanies, a metallic silver shoulder bag, and a co-branded soccer ball.
The Palace Y-3 collection drops this Friday, November 12th at Palace stores, the Palace website, and on adidas CONFIRMED. Check out the campaign imagery, lookbook photos, and product shots below.
