PUMA is teaming up with popular anime and gaming franchise Pokémon for the release of a limited-edition Suede spotlighting the legendary Mewtwo.
This iteration of the iconic silhouette comes dressed in light and dark purple hues, nodding to Mewtwo’s body and tail colors. The pair does not shy away from details — bolts of silver accents adorn the upper, while Mewtwo’s Japanese name, “ミュウツ” (pronounced Myūtsū), is found on the translucent rubber outsoles. Finishing off the pair is a Mewtwo graphic on the tongue, a metallic hangtag of the character attached to the laces, and “MEWTWO” branding in silver foil on the medial side panel. The sneakers arrive in special interactive packaging, which is set to be revealed later this month.
This drop follows the Pokémon x PUMA collection released in 2022, which featured Pikachu, Gengar, and the three Kanto starters. This time, the brands celebrate one of the most powerful Pokémon ever, paying homage to Mewtwo’s legendary status and psychic prowess with a design that blends nostalgia, craftsmanship, and pop-culture heritage.
