Japanese casual wear retailer Uniqlo is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise in 2026 with a UT t-shirt capsule inspired by Ken Sugimori’s watercolor artwork from the original Pokémon Red and Green games.
Taking fans back to Pokémon’s origins in the mid ’90s, the nostalgic collection includes ten graphic t-shirts adorned with fan-favorite pocket monsters from Gen 1. Five adult styles include a white Charizard tee, a blue Snorlax tee, a black Pikachu tee, a purple Gengar tee, and a white tee featuring the three Kanto starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Meanwhile, the kids’ styles includes a red Charizard tee, a yellow Pikachu tee, a black tee featuring Mewtwo and Mew, a cream Kanto starters tee, and a white tee featuring Eevee and the three original Eeveelutions: Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon.
This 30th anniversary collection is the latest in a series of Pokémon x Uniqlo collaborations that kicked off in 2019. Previous drops include a “Relics of Kanto Through Time” collection with Daniel Arsham in 2020, a “Pokémon Meets Artist” collection in collaboration with magma in 2022, and a TCG-inspired collection in 2025.
