PUMA continues to expand its Women’s Hoops offerings with the unveiling of its “Desert Sky” capsule collection, created in collaboration with 6x WNBA All-Star and Phoenix Mercury Guard Skylar Diggins-Smith.
This four-piece capsule marks Skylar’s first drop with PUMA and draws inspiration for its color palette from the sunrises and sunsets of Phoenix, Arizona. Fusing basketball culture with fashion, the capsule features the Desert Sky Jersey Dress, a striped tank silhouette with Skylar’s number “4” on the back. The vintage-inspired You Do You Sky Tee is a reference to the motto Skylar and her mother gesture to each other before every game, while the Desert Sky Basketball Short puts a modern spin on a throwback style.
Rounding out the collection is a “Desert Sky” colorway of the TRC Blaze Court. It features a vibrant sunset graphic and comes dressed in a night sky-inspired mix of purple and orange hues. Hand signs on the tongue translate to “You Do You,” while the heels read “Beauty” and “Beast,” nodding to Skylar’s versatile and balanced personality on and off the court.
Skylar Diggins-Smith was the first female basketball player to join PUMA when the brand relaunched its basketball category in 2018. This “Desert Sky” capsule is the third PUMA Women’s Hoops collection to release since the category’s launch, following up the “High Court” and “About A Bucket” drops.
