Rakeem Miles is back for the third installment of his partnership with K-Swiss, taking on the classic Court Tiebreak silhouette and continuing to tell his personal story alongside his evolving creative universe.
The updated Court Tiebreak continues to expand on the Action Figure Miles universe, featuring custom packaging with messages like “Run Toward Greatness” and playful interior graphics from the world of AFM. Additionally, the drop includes a canvas tote and rubberized hang tag created by Swapnice, embedded with NFC technology that unlocks exclusive content directly from Rakeem.
Like the duo’s previous drops from the “Get Me Out the Woods” collection, this release is centered around surviving the past and pushing beyond one’s struggles. This time, the focus is on Rakeem’s Action Figure Miles blue man character, a representation of perseverance and relatability.
“Action Figure Miles really comes from my childhood,” says Rakeem. “Growing up in foster care, dealing with mental health, and not always feeling safe, imagination was my escape. Creating this character was my way of turning pain into purpose. He represents healing, growth, compassion, resilience, and believing in yourself even when life hasn’t been easy. Stay true to who you are, even when it’s hard. That’s what this drop is about.”
The accompanying campaign channels early-2000s graphic streetwear culture, reflected in the shoe’s design language. It features a stylized photoshoot, an animated short, and a new skit continuing the narrative from previous drops. An eight-minute TV show pilot, originally developed with Adult Swim in mind, will also be available, alongside additional exclusive content, accessible through the Swapnice NFC experience.
“This isn’t just about a sneaker,” says Rakeem. “It’s about showing that you can come from tough circumstances and still build something meaningful.”
