This past September, Reebok introduced a new premium line called Reebok LTD (Learn. Test. Design.). Led by New Guards Group, a FARFETCH Group company, the platform will launch elevated and unique product through premium collections, exclusive collaborations, and special projects, all crafted with a forward-thinking vision to redefine the space between sport and culture.
One of the first products to stem from the creative playground that is Reebok LTD is the Club C FWD, a brand-new chunky and futuristic silhouette from the mind of senior footwear designer Evan Belforti. While there are clear references to the iconic Club C, the Club C FWD is its own beast, featuring an outer skeleton made from EVA foam that exaggerates its dimensions. This outer shell envelops the padded paneling that peeks through the geometric cut-outs. The Reebok Club C FWD launches in two colorways: one in a neutral palette comprised of taupe and ecru hues, the other in black and shades of blue.
“The hero piece to this sneaker is really the silhouette: when you look down while wearing it, you can see the shoe is very wide and it’s creating a very new aesthetic in footwear,” says Evan Belforti. “The goal was to make it seem like there is a shoe exploding from the shell.”
