After dropping a full-range collection last month, Reebok and National Geographic are back for their second collab. The Nano X1 Vegan is a fresh take on plant-based footwear.
Inspired by National Geographic’s passion for storytelling, the sneakers offer a visual element ready to trek the world. The workout shoe is available in an icy blue women’s and crisp white men’s colorway, both with pops of yellow inspired by the Nat Geo logo. The next step in sustainability, the sneaker’s main detail is the plant-based Flexweave knit material. The knit takes on the upper’s construction and provides support in the sole. The forefoot also contains some soft support with a Floatride Energy Foam made from castor beans. The sockliner features a berry, moss, and foliage design that pays homage to the Canada/Greenland sea ice and the resilience of natural life.
Each sneaker is also equipped with a QR code that allows you to go inside the world of National Geographic. Curious wearers can catch unique stories and 360 immersive video experiences
The National Geographic x Reebok Nano X1 Vegan will be available on October 19th for Reebok Unlocked members on reebok.com/national_geographic, with a wider release on October 22nd.
