Sony’s PlayStation and Reebok are uniting for a limited-edition sneaker collection, celebrating PlayStation’s 30th anniversary and the console’s cultural impact on the world of gaming.
The PlayStation x Reebok Collection features the InstaPump Fury 94, Pump Omni Zone II and the Workout Plus. Each sneaker represents one of PlayStation’s original launch regions — Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom — and will release exclusively through select retailers in its respective country.
Designed with nostalgia at the forefront, each sneaker in the collection draws inspiration from the original PlayStation console’s distinct design and era-defining moments in gaming. The three Reebok silhouettes were intentionally chosen to match their original launch year and popularity at the time. All pairs come dressed in a shared anniversary grey palette, featuring key console designs, such as an original PlayStation cord-inspired look, vintage PlayStation logos, and button-shaped charms. The shoes come in special packaging, a custom collector’s box reminiscent of the console’s original launch design.
The Reebok x PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection:
- InstaPump Fury 94 – Japan
The pump ball boasts a “Press Play” feature, while the tongue label resembles a PlayStation memory card. Hidden text inside the label features the original Japanese launch date “1994年12月3日” (12/3/1994). Includes a hangtag with dual PlayStation 30th and Reebok Pump branding.
- Pump Omni Zone II – U.S.
The custom pump ball is styled in PlayStation’s signature colors, and the tongue label features a hidden memory card graphic. Hidden text inside the label features the original US launch date for the PS1 “9/9/1995.” Plastic lace dubraes mimicking console buttons complete the look.
- Workout Plus – U.K.
Hidden text inside the label features the original PlayStation UK launch date “9/29/1995.” Plastic lace dubraes are styled after PlayStation’s classic circle, triangle, and square buttons, alongside Reebok’s vector logo.
“This collection is a time machine,” says Mubi Ali, Global Senior Product Marketing Manager at Reebok. “It’s for the after-school music TV kids: grunge in their headphones, wheels at their feet, and a dial-up world that felt wide open. We’ve brought those memories to life in every stitch, lace, and pump.”
The PlayStation x Reebok 30th Anniversary Collection will be available mid-October in limited quantities. The Workout Plus will release at UK retailer END. on October 15th. The Pump Omni Zone II will release at Boston-based Concepts on October 17th. Finally, the InstaPump Fury 94 will release October 24th at Japanese retailer BEAMS. Check out all three pairs below.
