Influential sports agent Rich Paul is adding another chapter to his New Balance partnership with a new sneaker collaboration, the ABZORB 2010 “Unbothered.”
Paul’s twist on the 2000s-inspired mesh running silhouette features a deep burgundy diamond mesh upper with plum suede overlays. The pair is finished with a gloss logo, velvet laces, and co-branding on the insoles for a minimalist but upscale touch. An ABZORB midsole and a translucent TPU stability system underfoot define the pair as a running and lifestyle staple for versatile wear.
Inspired by winding down after a long day of school as a child or work as an adult, Rich Paul connects the plum color to the choice of beverage—grape juice or red wine—to putting life on pause and taking a moment to breathe and relax. Dubbed “Unbothered,” the pair forefronts a message of resilience, fearlessness, and perseverance to face whatever hardships and obstacles life brings.
Paul debuted the collaboration earlier this year courtside at a Lakers vs. Mavs game, where he wore a friends-and-family exclusive colorway of the shoe. While the deep hues of the public release pair draws inspiration from dinner wines, the F&F pair comes in a light pinkish tan hue representing dessert wine.
The 2010 marks the third Rich Paul x New Balance sneaker collaboration, following the release of his debut 550 in 2021 and the “Forever Yours” colorway in 2023. Paul also has his own sportswear brand with New Balance, Klutch Athletics.
