On Black Friday 2008, while still working at David Z., Ronnie Fieg launched his first collaboration with adidas, a murdered out “Black Tie” Superstar designed to be dressed up with a suit or dressed down with a casual fit. 17 years and many adidas partnerships later, Fieg is now bringing the concept back with the “Black Tie 2.0.”
Hot of the heels of Kith’s FW25 collection launch, Fieg is now dropping a Made in Germany adidas Superstar that revisits the “Black Tie” theme through the lens of who he is today. The shoe is constructed with dress shoe quality leather and features Kith branding on the tongue, a satin &Kin label, and embossed Superstar branding on the lateral side. Additional details include white leather side stripes, waxed laces, refined stitching on the toe cap, and custom packaging that includes a Ronnie Fieg for adidas Originals dust bag.
Ronnie’s friends and family have received their pairs in special packaging, which doubled as the invite for Kith’s FW25 runway show, INSTITUTION. These pairs came packaged with a Julius double breasted jacket, Kylan Trouser with tonal Three Stripes appliqué, dress shirt, and black tie, all crafted from Italian 100% tropical wool.
The draw for the Ronnie Fieg x adidas Superstar Made in Germany “Black Tie 2.0” is now open on the Kith app and closes August 25th at midnight ET. The official launch is set for August 25th at 11am ET via Kith shops, Kith.com, and the Kith app. Check out the pair below.
