Jordan Brand has teamed up with SAINT Mxxxxxx, the vintage-inspired Japanese streetwear brand by Yuta Hosokawa and Cali Dewitt, on a new collaborative apparel collection.
Headlining the first collab between the two brands is a red varsity jacket, recently debuted by Rui Hachimura of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The jacket features a large M on the left chest alongside 23/45 numbering, nodding to the two jersey numbers worn by Michael Jordan during his time with the Chicago Bulls. Embroidery on the right chest reads “Free As A Bird Flying High Up In The Skies.” On the back, “JORDAN” appears upside down along with the SAINT MICHAEL initials “SM” rotated to resemble the number 23.
Additional apparel pieces have been revealed by SAINT Mxxxxxx in a time capsule-themed photoshoot, including a graphic tee and co-branded hoodies and sweatpants offered in white, black, and heather grey color options. Rounding out the capsule is a 6-panel hat with SAINTJORDAN branding across the front.
The SAINT Mxxxxxx x Jordan collection will launch on May 1st at the grand opening of World of Flight Osaka, followed by a wider release on May 23rd at select Jordan stores and SAINT Mxxxxxx retailers. Check out the preview below.
