Salehe Bembury has been keeping busy. The veteran footwear designer is in the process of launching his own brand, Spunge, while also designing for PUMA Basketball and pumping out projects from his partnership with Crocs. Aside from all that, he’s also got another collaboration with New Balance on the way, “Fog Be The Cloud,” comprised of two colorways of the New Balance 1000.
One of the pairs in the “Fog Be The Cloud” pack comes dressed in an outdoor-inspired mix of colors and materials that include blue mesh and high-gloss leather, hairy green suede, and accents in burnt orange, vibrant neon, and earthy brown. This variety of rich textures and colors on this “Cloud” colorway are drawn from the Smoky Mountains and mirrors the diversity of the lush landscape.
The second pair, “Fog,” features a sunset-inspired pink/purple gradient across its mesh and synthetic leather upper. Grey hairy suede adorns the toe cap, and underfoot sits a bright orange midsole. Both colorways come with a see-through N logos on the side panels and are packaged in outdoors-inspired graphic box.
The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1000 releases in the “Cloud” colorway on September 2nd at 12pm PT on Salehe Bembury’s Spunge website, with a wider release slated for September 5th via NewBalance.com (10am ET) and select retailers.
