Between collaborations with adidas and Oakley, the launch of its ROCKER silhouette, and a growing presence in performance fashion, SATISFY hasn’t slowed down. Now the Paris-based running label is reconnecting with Levi’s for STONER, a follow-up to the duo’s 2024 capsule built around the idea that climbers have been wearing Levi’s on the rock since the Stonemasters were making first ascents in Yosemite back in the 1970s.
The centerpiece is a pair of reworked 501s, and notably, they’re not new denim. SATISFY actually sourced real vintage, U.S.-made Levi’s 501s through its RE-POSSESSED program, which rebuilds archive pieces rather than manufacturing anything from scratch. From there, each pair gets an integrated woven belt at the waist and reinforced ripstop overlays patched onto the knees and rear pocket, landing in two aged colorways: a sun-bleached blue with pale sage patches, and a faded black-on-black version with the same paneling in dark charcoal.
The Climb Shirt follows the same logic in a lighter package. It takes a classic Levi’s Western shirt and swaps one chest pocket with SATISFY’s own ripstop fabric, mixing the two brands’ materials into a single piece rather than keeping them separate. Rounding things out is the MothTech T-Shirt, an organic cotton shirt printed with an illustration of Half Dome and finished with laser-cut holes scattered across the fabric like actual moth damage, a rough, worn-in reference to the granite formation that put Yosemite on the map for climbers in the first place.
SATISFY summed up the whole idea in its promo video for the drop, closing on a simple line: “It’s OK to climb in denim.” Given how much of this capsule leans on archive material and decades-old climbing history, it reads as the thesis of the collection.
