The collaboration that spawned one of the most sought after New Balances ever, the Tassie Devil 998, is back at it again. The print magazine/website source of sneaker news, Sneaker Freaker, is once again collaborating with New Balance only this time on a 997.5 apparently dubbed “Tassie Tiger”.
For those unfamiliar with this model, it is comprised of a 997 upper with a 998 midsole. As you can see from the images, this is one of the more unique NB models in recent memory. One the upper, you will see a subtle beige base. However, the bright accent colors make this upper anything but subtle. From these leaked images we can see a bright red toe box, a pink tongue lining, as well as navy blue, bright blue, and orange hits throughout the upper. As for the 998 midsole, we can see what appears to be a black and white speckled pattern with a gum outsole. Release details have yet to surface but be sure to stick with Modern Notoriety for the latest on this Sneaker Freaker x NB collab.
