Song for the Mute doesn’t do repetition. Each chapter with adidas gets its own identity, and the 007 collection arrives with a very clear one, something that feels touched, imperfect, and deeply intentional about looking unintentional.

The footwear leads with two silhouettes. The Samba LX Freizeit gets the SFTM treatment in two colorways: a full-shine premium leather in black with a perforated split t-toe, a stitched platform sole, waxed double laces, and a gold eyelet at the top. The Aurora Coffee version swaps in full-grain leather, with a deco-stitched t-toe and smooth leather three-stripes anchoring the profile. Both carry the custom-woven collaboration label and the chunky, ridged platform sole that makes the Freizeit immediately recognizable.

The Tokyo is an archival adidas silhouette dating back to the 1964 Olympics and it shows up in three colorways: Off White, Black and Bluebird. SFTM constructs each pair differently, using reflective synthetic or mesh uppers depending on the colorway, with distressed suede at the t-toe and eyestay, and a distressed outsole that varies subtly pair to pair. Gold foil lettering, a crumpled ballerina-style heel, paint-splatter hits, and a canvas-tape mudguard lend the kind of texture that looks as if it accumulated over years.

The apparel carries that same energy throughout. Two track jackets in grey and auburn feature mismatched plaid stash hoods, retro sleeve striping and a packable design that folds into the back pocket and converts into a crossbody bag via a detachable ring accessory. The grey tailored trousers balance an elasticated waistband against front pintucks, buttoned welt pockets and belt loops. Both tees, in grey and petrol, arrive with hand-written ADIDAS lettering layered over spray effects and paint splatter on heavyweight cotton. The Olive Strata rugby polo is long-sleeved, with mismatched stripe blocking, contrast ribbing at the collar, hem, and cuffs, and a dropped-shoulder knit in cotton slub. The black shorts keep things minimal with a drawcord waist, a single back welt pocket, and a small trefoil on the leg.

Accessories round out the drop with a natural denim tote finished with handwritten ADIDAS and SFTM branding, a detachable shoulder strap, and an internal laptop compartment. The Branch cap in waxed brushed cotton twill features the same handwritten style in black against a worn-in surface, with subtle tonal variation throughout.

The Song for the Mute x adidas ADI007 collection drops May 8th via the SFTM website (11am AEST) and at SFTM stores in Australia (350 George Street, Sydney and QV Melbourne, Level 1). A global release will follow on May 15th via adidas.com, CONFIRMED, and select retailers.
